Early Dismissal will be on Wednesday, June 5th. Students will be dismissed at 2:30 pm.

Assembly ~

The June assembly will be held on Thursday, June 6th at 8:30 am.  If your child is being recognized at the assembly their teacher will let you know.

Everyone is welcome to attend the assembly.

District Track Meet ~

Forty eight students will be representing  New Humble Centre School at the District Track Meet on Friday, June 7th at Riverview Middle School in Devon.  We wish all the participants the best of luck in all of their events.

Provincial Achievement Tests ~

The Gr. 6 students have already written the Part A of the Language Arts Provincial Achievement Test.  The remaining tests are scheduled for:

Tuesday, June 11 - LA Part B (Reading Comprehension)
Thursday, June 13 - Math Part A (Timed Facts) and Part B (Problems)
Tuesday, June 18 - Science
Thursday, June 20 - Social Studies

Please note that this is the year that the Grade 5/6 class is completing the Gr. 6 social studies and science curriculum so the Gr. 5 students will also be writing the social and science PATs.

It is important that the students get a good night's sleep the night before each test and have a nutritious breakfast each morning of the test.  There is plenty of research to support the benefits of good nutrition on school performance.

School Track Meet ~

Our students are gearing up for the yearly track meet which will be held on Friday, June 21st .

We will be following the same format for the track meet as last year.  In the morning the students will be divided into groups by their age where they will compete against other students of the same gender and age.  In the afternoon students will be divided into family groups to compete in a variety of activities with their family group.

Parking is always an issue at the school as space is limited. This year we are asking that everyone park on the south side of the school.  We will only have one event happening on the south side of the school this year.  When parking, please be careful of the students that are moving to and from that event.  Thank you.

Due to the late timing of this year's track day we will not be able to schedule a rain out date. The hamburger/hot dog lunch will be served on Friday, June 21st regardless.

Gr. 6 Farewell ~

On Monday, June 24th at 6:00 p.m. we will be having our Gr. 6 Farewell.  The staff hosts this event as an opportunity to say 'Thank You' to the Gr. 6 students for all of the contributions that they have made to New Humble Centre School and to wish them all the best in their future.

Kindergarten Graduation ~

The kindergarten class will be celebrating their year of learning with a Kindergarten Graduation on Thursday, June 27th at 1:00. Mrs. Mertins will provide further details to the kindergarten parents.
