Science Fair ~ 

Science Fair projects will be on display in the gym on Wednesday, May 1. Everyone is welcome to come all of the wonderful projects!

Hats On For Mental Health ~

Students are encouraged to wear a hat to school on Wednesday, May 1.


Early Dismissal ~ 

Early dismissal will be on Wednesday, May 1.  Students will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m.

Assembly ~

Our May assembly will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at 8:30 a.m. If your child is being recognized at the assembly their teacher will notify you.  

*Please note that this is not the first Thursday of the month.*

Everyone is welcome to attend the assemblies!

PAT LA Part A ~

The Gr. 6 students will be writing their first Provincial Achievement Test on Thursday, May 9 at 9:00.  The test they are writing is the Language Arts Part A which is the writing component of the Language Arts test. 

To help your child be better prepared for writing the test, please ensure that they get a good night sleep the night before and that they have a healthy breakfast that morning.  Students are encouraged to have a water bottle with them that day.

Grade 7 Orientation ~

Calmar Secondary School will be having their Gr. 7 Orientation and BBQ on Thursday, May 9.  The BBQ starts at 5:30 and the Orientation begins at 6:30.

Appreciation Breakfast ~

Once again we will be having an Appreciation Breakfast.  The breakfast will be held on Thursday, May 16th.  All of the classes have been busy practicing their dance moves to performance during the breakfast.  



Please call the office to let us know how many people will be attending.

PD Day ~


There will be no school on Friday, May 17th as it is a Staff Planning and Development Day.  

Victoria Day ~

There is no school on Monday, May 21st as it is Victoria Day. 

Whole School Field Trip ~

The entire school will be going on a field trip on Tuesday, May 21th to the Reynold's Museum in Wetaskiwin.  More information will be coming home in the near future.  You will be notified when permission forms are available on line.

District High Jump ~

The District High Jump Competition will be taking place on Monday, May 27 at the Ken Nichol Recreation Centre in Beaumont.  

Practices and try outs will be starting soon.  The school is allowed to enter a maximum of 4 girls and 4 boys.  If your child is interested in being on the High Jump Team, please have them speak to Mrs. Hansen.

Western Day ~

To kick off the Leduc Black Gold Rodeo, students are encouraged to wear their Western Wear to school on Thursday, May 30.
